Payroll Giving is a hassle-free way your company and employees can give to charity and fulfil your social responsibility requirements.
How does Payroll Giving work?
An amount - as little as R5 - is deducted voluntarily from an employee's salary on a monthly basis. These amounts are paid directly to The Giving Organisation and charities such as CHOC, Cotlands and the South African Red Cross benefit from these donations.
Payroll Giving is simple for employers to set up, and will contribute significantly to your company's social responsibility plan. In addition, it is also an excellent way to affirm employees' charitable giving through reliable distribution channels.
Many big companies and organisations take part in Payroll Giving. One of these organisations is the South African Payroll Association (SAPA). During the past year, SAPA members raised R65 000 for The Giving Organisation and presented this amount to the Giving Organisation’s representatives during the annual SAPA conference two weeks ago.

Since 1996, The Giving Organisation has initiated different business ventures for charity, including eBay auctions with Charlize Theron and Nelson Mandela and Celebrity Big Brother. A total amount of over R50 million has been generated over the years through these projects.
