Recruiters will soon be able to get professional designations

The staffing industry has been under enormous pressure for the past few years, with changing legislative frameworks, technology advancements, skills shortages and economic pressure. As a result, many recruiters have felt deflated, questioning why they remain in an industry where a lot of hard work goes in but there is no guarantee of financial reward. Well, this is all about to change…

PRESS RELEASE

The Federation of African Professional Staffing Organisations (APSO) recently announced that recruiters will soon be able to register as individuals and achieve professional designations. APSO will share all of the exciting developments in the realm of professionalism with members at this year’s staffing conference.

The 2013 staffing conference will focus on the core skills recruiters need to differentiate themselves from their competition, earn what they’re worth and make more placements more often.

This year, the conference organisers have lined up a stellar cast of speakers. The highlight of the programme promises to be international speaker Andy Preston:

  • Having spoken at over 1 000 events in 14 countries, and worked with over 37 500 people, Andy Preston is widely recognised as an international expert on selling and modern-day sales techniques. A contributor to leading recruitment publications, Andy’s opinion is often sought on how consultancies and agencies can increase their consultants’ billings.

Says Natalie Singer, chief operating officer at APSO: “I am really excited about this year’s conference and believe that recruiters who attend will leave with their skills briefcases bulging. We’ve carefully selected our speakers based on their super powers and the skills they’ll empower our recruiters with.”
