The Annual Provincial Human Resource Development Awards was held at the Horseshoe Motel in Kimberley. On Thursday, 22 July 2016 the awards with a “Winter Wonderland” theme attracted much attention with beautifully dressed ladies and extra-ordinary handsome men. More than 12 awards were given to members serving in the Northern Cape HRD.
The awards varied from the best cleaner, best security, to the best trainer and best training section and centre, the best commissioned officer, the best non-commissioned officer, the best male ambassador, best female ambassador and the best public service act member. The most outstanding trophy was the special Provincial Head Award which had two winners, Personnel Officer Safiza Muhammed and Administration Clerk Jima Matlhola. Among the guest were some of the sponsors such as Tracker, Assupol and Incredible Connections.
Several lucky draws saw that every attendee walked away with a special prize. The awards can be seen as a great motivator to all SAPS members and it encourages the individuals to continue with good work and to keep this excellent standard of service delivery.
