Entries now open for third annual Rising Star Awards

Entries are now open for the prestigious Rising Star Awards, which honour inspirational and passionate young talented people who contribute, in a meaningful way, to the future of our country. Hopefully, this will motivate the younger generation to become involved in contributing meaningfully to our country’s future as developing entrepreneurship is possibly one of the only ways we’re going to get out of the economic mess we’re in.

Future analysts say that the only way we, on a global scale, are going to get out of the financial crisis currently holding our economy in a vice-like grip is with entrepreneurship. This is because many of the big corporates out there are shedding jobs, which means there are very few jobs out there to go around. So the only way to get our unemployed masses into the working market is to create new enterprises that will create new jobs.

The Rising Star Awards seem like the perfect vehicle to make this happen.

Laura Barker, MD of BlackBark Productions, explains: “Rising Stars are polished, brilliant talent with tremendous promise and who excel for reasons that go far beyond their technical abilities alone. They make things happen, are highly committed to achieving goals, innovate very rapidly and create a great deal of value, for companies and themselves, when their talent is spotted and harnessed.”

I wish you the best of luck in all your entrepreneurial endeavours!
