DA to march against government’s failure to fix unemployment

According to News24, next month the Democratic Alliance (DA) will march to the African National Congress’ headquarters at Luthuli House in Johannesburg to protest against the ruling party promising to fix unemployment but hasn’t

A total of 6 000 DA will take part in the march and each member will represent 1 000 unemployed South Africans. The reason behind this is to show that the DA will create 6 million jobs if they are elected to power.

DA leader, Helen Zille, has been in the media lately when she was booed off stage at the launch of the Saldahna Bay Industrial Development Zone. However, Zille is not one to go off quietly: she spoke out against the abuse she suffered at the hands of audience members at the launch and she is speaking out again now.

"These are not real jobs. They are temporary public works' placements that will do little to grow the economy and lift people out of poverty permanently and sustainably," she said.
