Walking 1 000 miles in aid of the Peninsula School Feeding Association

This is to raise money for the Peninsula School Feeding Association (PSFA).

Both Ian and Leslie are passionate about education and promote it throughout South Africa. However, they realise that it is impossible for children to learn without having enough food to eat. This is why they’ve decided to raise funds by doing this walk.

“We’ve seen first-hand the difference the organisation makes daily in the lives of thousands of learners and we wanted to contribute in a meaningful way and inspire the public to join us on this journey by supporting PSFA,” said Ian in an article in South Africa the Good News.

Said Andy du Plessis, PSFA director: “Ian and Leslie Hurst’s attempt to raise funds, by hiking this difficult trail, will also raise valuable awareness for the problem of hunger in schools and the work that PSFA does. We’ll be with them in spirit every step of the way”.
