School textbooks now available on your iPad
The Mail and Guardian reported that a brand-new iPad app, which will revolutionise the face of education, was launched yesterday. This app offers access to over 600 school textbooks, in 33 subjects and six South African languages.
Fourteen publishers, including giants Maskew Miller Longman and the Cambridge University Press, bought into the concept as the two publishing giants feel that making textbooks available in e-format is a necessity.
"The app offers access to CAPS-aligned [new curriculum] textbooks for grades one to 12," said Linda de Klerk, marketing director for ZA Books. Schools can buy the books from ZA Books.
