Mentoring and coaching can have a significant impact on an organisation's performance, but they require special skills, especially in an environment as complex as the South African workplace. This workshop aims to provide supervisors and managers with the skills to:
- Assist people to achieve role clarity and identify development needs in line with accountabilities.
- Identify development strategies which are consistent with learning styles and opportunities.
- Coach people where opportunities present themselves.
- Foster self-managed development.
- Interpret and mediate organisational culture to ensure it is inclusive.
- Counsel and advise people on their career options while fostering a sense of self-development.
- Access specialist resources where these can boost development and performance, and
- Produce a development plan aligning individual aspirations and organisational aims.
