The first IMG Cape Town event for 2014 will be focused on practical implications of Immigration Law and will be presented by Ms Tracy Du Plessis.

A number of changes have been proposed to the South African Immigration Act and regulations and are due to be implemented in the near future. These amendments will mostly affect, but not be limited to foreign nationals wanting to work, study and run businesses in South Africa.

About the speaker

Tracy Du Plessis: I am currently the director for SA Immigration Services at Relocation Africa, where I have been employed since 3 May 2002. I am a registered immigration practitioner with the Department of Home Affairs and a member of the Forum for Immigration Practitioners of SA. I specialise in South African Immigration legislation for all foreign nationals.

Previously, I was employed at The Department of Home Affairs, for 13 years, several years of which I worked at the division responsible for temporary and permanent residence, as well as SA citizenship.
