IPM national president elected as vice president of AHRC
National president of the Institute of People Management (IPM) in South Africa and HR manager at GUD Holdings (Pty) Ltd, Rajroshan Seeparsad, has been elected vice president of the African Human Resources Confederation (AHRC). Seeparsad was elected at a meeting held in Casablanca, Morocco on 26 April this year. The president of AHRC is Hicham Zouanat of Morocco.

Seeparsad was elected at a meeting held in Casablanca, Morocco on 26 April this year. The president of AHRC is Hicham Zouanat of Morocco.
The AHRC is an affiliate of the World Federation of People Management Associations (WFPMA) and represents 33 nations in Africa. The WFPMA believes in "One Africa, One HR" and is doing everything that is reasonably possible to ensure that Africa's HR challenges are addressed through the AHRC, thus also contributing to the success of both Africa and the companies that we work for.
This is a proud moment for IPM South Africa which brings South Africa into the global arena. Seeparsad is only the second person from South Africa to hold such a high position and to have this recognition for his global HR experience and outstanding leadership qualities bestowed on him.
Prior to the election, Seeparsad was asked to give an insight into GUD Holdings and IPM South Africa to representatives of the world and African body, who were impressed by his business insight and the CSI initiatives of GUD Holdings (Pty) Ltd.
Seeparsad and others serve these HR organisations on a voluntary basis and do not benefit financially. Their passion for the people management profession stands them in good stead and is recognised through their tireless service to these global bodies.
The AHRC is grateful to companies such as GUD Holdings for allowing people like Seeparsad to participate in the profession that they have chosen, which provides a line of networking that will bring immense value to their business and to the HR profession in South Africa as a whole.
In response to the official letter from the AHRC sent to GUD Holdings (Pty) Ltd, the divisional director: group purchasing, HR & legal, Anthony Trickey, and the divisional director: Pmb manufacturing, Rodney Naude, commented that "this certainly is an honour for Raj and GUD Holdings."
