The National Union of South Africa (Numsa) plans to go on a wage strike in the engineering sector, reports EyeWitness News.
Numsa has said that this strike action will not last as long as the one that is currently underway on the platinum belt.
According to EyeWitness News, Numsa's Irvin Jim said that it has not yet set a date for the strike as they are still negotiating with employers. But he said the impact will be huge.
"We are currently in negotiations and we are preparing to strike against transition employment"
Meanwhile, on Thursday, Numsa lashed out at the ANC, accusing them of fuelling tensions in the tripartite alliance and blaming it for the nearly four-month long wage strike in the platinum sector, reports EyeWitness News.
