IPM and SABPP collaborate

The Institute of People Management (IPM) and the SA Board for People Practices (SABPP) have signed a memorandum of understanding to collaborate in advancing the HR profession in SA. The tangible output of this collaboration is to support the Gauteng Department of Health in professionalising HR practices in all department sites throughout the province.

The project will include building HR competencies, applying HR standard, conducting HR audits, as well as other leadership developments and HR capacity building interventions. The two bodies will work together with the Department of Health to ensure that service delivery as well as HCM within the health services is optimised and strengthened in the interest of health service delivery.

The core purpose of the project is to transform the HR function into a high performing non-clinical function focusing on enabling improved health care. The project will focus on high performance HR practice aligned to overall improved service delivery which will contribute directly to the achievement of the objective and overarching strategy in advancing the health and well- being of Gauteng citizens.
